Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of prixette.com (the “Site”), operated by Prixette (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Questions are welcome at [email protected].

1. What Prixette is (and is not)

Prixette is an independent price-comparison and editorial service — designer fashion first, plus beauty, home, and electronics. We collect and display pricing and product information from third-party retailers, and we publish editorial content about how the products we cover are priced.

Prixette is not a retailer. We do not sell products, hold inventory, process payments, or fulfill orders. Any purchase you make after following a link from the Site is a transaction between you and the retailer, governed entirely by that retailer’s own terms, prices, and policies. Prixette is not a party to that transaction and is not responsible for the products, delivery, returns, or customer service of any retailer.

2. Affiliate disclosure

We participate in affiliate programs. We may earn a commission when you buy through links on our site, at no additional cost to you. Commissions never affect how prices are ranked on the Site: prices are ordered by price.

3. Accuracy of prices and information

Prices for designer goods change frequently — sometimes several times a day — and availability can end without notice. We work to keep the information on the Site accurate and time-stamp the prices we display, but all prices, availability, and product details are provided for information only and without warranty. The price that governs your purchase is always the price shown by the retailer at their own checkout. Before completing a purchase, verify the price, shipping costs, taxes, duties, and return policy on the retailer’s site.

4. Editorial content is not professional advice

Articles in our Journal reflect general knowledge and our honest editorial judgment about how fashion pricing works. They are provided for general information and do not constitute legal, tax, customs, or financial advice. Rules on duties, taxes, and imports change and vary by jurisdiction and circumstance; confirm current requirements with the relevant authority or a qualified professional before relying on them.

5. Acceptable use

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content or data from the Site by automated means without our prior written permission;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the Site, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems;
  • use the Site in any way that violates applicable law;
  • misrepresent an affiliation with Prixette or reproduce the Site in a way that suggests our endorsement.

6. Intellectual property

The Site’s editorial content, design, and the Prixette name are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may link to any page on the Site, and quote brief excerpts of our articles with attribution and a link. All product names, brand names, and retailer names appearing on the Site are the trademarks of their respective owners; Prixette is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand or retailer unless expressly stated.

7. Third-party links

The Site links to third-party websites, including retailers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Following a link is at your own discretion, and we encourage you to review the terms and privacy policy of every site you visit.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that price information will be current at the moment you view it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prixette will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or any transaction with a third-party retailer — including reliance on price or availability information displayed on the Site. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to one hundred US dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Prixette harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

11. Changes to the Site and these Terms

The Site is currently in a pre-launch state, and both the Site and these Terms will evolve. We may modify these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you hold under the laws of your place of residence.
