Why we exist

The same designer item — identical style, identical colorway, identical season — is routinely sold at meaningfully different prices depending on which retailer you happen to land on. That difference is not a flaw in the market; it is how the market works. Regional pricing, markdown timing, stock pressure, and import costs all pull prices apart. But shoppers rarely get to see the whole picture, and so they routinely pay more than they needed to for exactly the same piece.

Prixette exists to make that picture visible. We track the same item across the retailers that carry it and show every current price side by side, so the decision of where to buy is made with full information rather than luck.

What we are building

We are fashion-first by build order, not by boundary: designer clothing, shoes, bags, accessories, and jewelry lead the platform, and beauty, home, and electronics are compared to exactly the same standard. Matching a product across retailers accurately — same style code, same material, same colorway, not merely a similar-looking item — is the hard part of this work, and it is what we are spending our pre-launch time getting right.

Prixette is not a store. We do not sell anything, hold inventory, or process payments. When you choose a retailer, you click through and buy directly from them, at their price.

Our principles

• Prices are ranked by price

  The lowest price appears first. Not the retailer that pays us the most, not a “featured” partner — the lowest price. Commercial relationships will never change the order of results.

• A timestamp on every price

  Prices move constantly, and a stale price is worse than no price. Every price we show carries the time we last confirmed it, so you always know how fresh the information is.

• No pay-for-placement

  Retailers cannot buy their way to the top of a comparison, and they cannot pay to have a competitor’s price hidden. If a retailer carries the item, and we can verify their price, they are listed.

Principles are easy to state, so we document the machinery that enforces them: how we verify prices — feed ingestion, freshness rules, suppression, and honest retailer labels.

How we plan to make money

Prixette will be free for shoppers. When you click through to a retailer and make a purchase, some retailers pay us a small commission through their affiliate programs. That commission never increases the price you pay, and — per the principles above — it never affects how prices are ranked or which retailers appear. Where we have an affiliate relationship, we disclose it.
